It is a good idea that in heavy and serious cases the amount of used Emerald is raised to a couple or even 3 strands.  An amount of at least 55+  carat of our higher quality range (EO - EO+) is most probably sufficient - depending on the individual case and progress of the illness.  On top, it is of great benefit in the case of cancer to add a necklace which addresses the actual area and the disease on a very physical level like Tree Agate or Sugilite. In cases of cancer having its origin in the emotions, a strand of Ruby or pink purple Sugilite can be of help to cut the feeding source - the root and discharge the areas in the emotional body. If the origin is in the mental body, a strand of blue Sapphire and/or dark purple Sugilite could help to make a difference by cutting the root in that aspect to not further feed the line to the physical. Always the Emerald with its life giving green ray should be worn while clearing the cancer.  Emerald should even be worn longer after the disease has left the physical body to ensure that the residues in the higher body be cleared out completely too. That could include the Sapphire or Ruby strand for the higher aspects where the cancer started to enter into the physical body. In cases of heavy, life threatening disease, a gem therapist should be consulted if there are any doubts of what should be worn.</B></div> <div> <B> If nothing serious is going on in the body, then Emerald’s energy does the same in the mental and emotional aspects as it does physically.
